Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to join our dynamic ecosystem at Prenetics and IM8, working directly with serial entrepreneur and CEO Danny Yeung. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious entrepreneur to gain invaluable hands-on experience while exploring cutting-edge opportunities in health technology, consumer wellness, and emerging crypto/blockchain projects.

This role is designed for high-potential individuals who want to accelerate their entrepreneurial journey by learning from a proven leader who has built multiple successful companies, raised significant capital, and navigated complex global markets. The EIR will have unprecedented access to Danny's strategic thinking, operational expertise, and extensive network while contributing to the growth and innovation of our portfolio companies.

Reality Check: This is Not an Easy Position
This is a demanding, high-intensity role that will push you to your limits. You will experience firsthand what it truly takes to run a company and create products from scratch. The learning curve is steep, the pace is relentless, and the expectations are exceptionally high.

Role Responsibilities & Scope
Strategic Innovation & Business Development
- Explore and evaluate emerging opportunities across health technology, consumer wellness, and blockchain/crypto projects
- Lead research and analysis of new market segments, technologies, and business models that align with our portfolio strategy
- Develop comprehensive business cases for potential new ventures, partnerships, or strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and pursue high-impact growth opportunities
- Support due diligence processes for potential investments, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships

Crypto & Blockchain Project Exploration
- Support our Bitcoin treasury strategy as we build one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holdings in the world
- Investigate and assess crypto/blockchain opportunities that intersect with health technology, consumer wellness, or digital innovation
- Research emerging trends in Web3, DeFi, NFTs, tokenization, and other blockchain applications relevant to our industries
- Evaluate potential crypto partnerships and strategic alliances that could enhance our existing business models
- Develop frameworks for integrating blockchain technology into health and wellness platforms
- Stay current with regulatory developments and compliance requirements in the crypto space
- Network with crypto entrepreneurs and thought leaders to identify collaboration opportunities
- Analyze digital asset market trends and their implications for corporate treasury strategies

Operational Excellence & Learning
- Work directly with Danny Yeung on strategic initiatives, gaining exposure to high-level decision-making processes
- Participate in board meetings and executive strategy sessions to understand corporate governance and leadership
- Support operational improvements across Prenetics and IM8, identifying efficiency opportunities and growth levers
- Assist with investor relations and fundraising activities, learning capital markets and investor communication
- Contribute to product development and go-to-market strategies for new offerings

Entrepreneurial Development & Mentorship
- Shadow Danny Yeung in daily operations, strategic meetings, and key business decisions
- Gain hands-on experience in scaling businesses, managing teams, and navigating complex market dynamics

Ideal Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred but not required)

- Previous startup experience as a founder, early employee, or in a leadership role

- International experience or exposure to global markets
