Head of E-commerce Analytics

We are now seeking a world-class Head of E-Commerce Analytics for IM8 to deepen our understanding of customer behavior, optimize every step of the funnel, and accelerate our DTC growth through data-driven insights. This leader will own conversion analytics, checkout performance, retention insights, lifecycle optimization, and the core metrics that power our subscription engine—including CAC, LTV, payback periods, cohort behavior, and AOV.
Role Overview
The Head of E-Commerce Analytics will own IM8’s entire analytics ecosystem—spanning acquisition funnels, checkout flows, retention mechanics, subscription behavior, and AI-driven optimization frameworks.
This leader must know how to embed AI across analytics, reporting, data workflows, experimentation, forecasting, and scaling, ensuring IM8 operates with intelligence, automation, and precision.
You will work directly with Growth, Product, Engineering, CRM, and Executive Leadership to ensure every decision is powered by next-generation analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Funnel & Conversion Optimization
- Own all funnel performance across landing → PDP → checkout → subscription
- Identify drop-off points and systematically increase conversion through data and AI-powered testing.
- Build predictive conversion models that forecast purchase likelihood and revenue by channel.
AI-Driven Analytics & Automation (NEW)
- Deploy AI models (LLMs, machine learning, recommendation systems) to automate insights, segmentation, and forecasting.
- Implement AI for:
- predictive churn modeling
- CAC forecasting
- LTV predictions
- dynamic pricing/testing
- creative performance analysis
- Oversee AI-driven dashboards and auto-reporting systems to eliminate manual workflows.
- Introduce AI agents for monitoring funnel health, anomalies, data quality, and retention behavior.
Subscription & Retention Analytics
- Own retention metrics, subscriber cohorts, churn modeling, and lifecycle curves.
- Build frameworks for CAC, LTV, payback, retention, reorder behavior, and AOV optimization.
- Create segmentation logic for personalized email/SMS flows powered by AI insights.
Analytics Infrastructure & Reporting
- Architect a world-class data and analytics stack across GA4, Amplitude, Looker/Tableau, attribution tools, and AI-driven BI systems.
- Build, automate, and maintain dashboards for all acquisition, funnel, lifecycle, and product metrics.
- Ensure best-in-class data governance, accuracy, and real-time visibility.
CRO & Experimentation
- Lead the A/B and multivariate testing roadmap across the website, landing pages, checkout, and CRM.
- Use AI to accelerate hypothesis generation, sample sizing, and post-test analysis.
- Translate data into design and UX changes that materially move revenue.
Lifecycle, Email & CRM Insights
- Analyze email & SMS flows, segmentation, activation, and retention performance.
- Use AI to:
- generate personalized lifecycle messaging
- score customer value
- identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Build systems that improve subscriber longevity.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Performance Marketing on CAC, ROAS, and channel attribution optimization.
- Collaborate with Engineering to instrument AI tracking and new data pipelines.
- Provide weekly insight reports to the CEO/leadership with actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
- 7–12+ years in e-commerce analytics, growth analytics, CRO, data science, or performance analytics.
- Mastery of DTC metrics (CAC, LTV, Payback, AOV, cohorts, churn, retention).
- Advanced technical ability: SQL, GA4, Amplitude/Mixpanel, Looker/Tableau.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML models into analytics workflows.
- Proven record of improving conversion and retention in high-growth DTC environments.
- Strong fluency in testing frameworks, CRO, and statistical modeling.
Bonus
- Experience scaling subscription businesses from $50M → $300M+ ARR.
- Ability to build AI-powered analytics infrastructure from scratch.
- Experience in consumer health, supplements, wellness, or similar verticals.
