Position Overview
Own organic social media across every channel for IM8, the premium health and wellness brand co-founded with David Beckham. You'll drive platform strategy, content velocity, community growth, and ambassador-driven social activation across all markets (US, UK, HK, APAC). Reports into the CMO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Strategy & Channel Ownership
Own end-to-end organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
Define channel-level KPIs: follower growth, engagement rate, share of voice, community sentiment, and attributed revenue where measurable
Build the rolling 90-day social content calendar across all brand pillars
Set the platform playbook — what wins on each channel, what we deprioritize, and when to test new formats
Own global social presence and localized adaptations for the US, UK, HK, and APAC markets
2. Content Production & Velocity
Build a social-first content engine that ships daily across all priority platforms
Direct short-form video output with the Video Editor and Creative Strategist
Repurpose long-form and ambassador content into platform-native social assets
Own the hook-to-CTA framework and brand voice on every post
Lead trend-jacking, reactive content, and cultural moments with a 24-hour response window
3. Community & Audience Growth
Build an always-on community management program across all channels
Set response-time, tone, and escalation SLAs for DMs, comments, and mentions
Drive follower-to-customer conversion through coordinated social and lifecycle touchpoints
Identify user-generated content to amplify and bring into paid and organic rotations
Hire, manage, and coach community and social managers as the team scales
4. Ambassador & Talent Social Integration
Partner with the Ambassador & Partnerships Manager to integrate Beckham, Sabalenka, Bearman, and wider ambassador content into brand social
Own the publishing cadence and framing of ambassador content on brand-owned channels
Brief ambassadors on social-native content requirements and hooks
Coordinate tentpole launches and campaign moments across ambassador and brand channels
5. Performance, Reporting & Commercial Impact
Own weekly and monthly social performance reporting
Partner with Performance Marketing to identify organic-to-paid content opportunities and feed the paid social pipeline
Track social's contribution to brand CAC, LTV, and aided/unaided brand awareness
Evolve reporting frameworks, dashboards, and the social tech stack as needs change
6. AI Integration & Operations
Embed AI across every stage of the social workflow: ideation, scripting, caption drafting, trend detection, comment triage, reporting
Evaluate and adopt new AI tooling continuously — social listening AI, video AI, image AI, agentic workflows
Build scalable SOPs and prompt libraries that let a small team ship content at 10x the usual velocity
Set the standard for AI-native social operations across the marketing team
Requirements
6+ years in social media with at least 2+ years leading a social function at a DTC, consumer, or creator-led brand
Proven track record growing branded social accounts — able to point to follower growth, engagement lift, and commercial impact personally driven
Deep platform fluency on TikTok and Instagram; strong command of YouTube Shorts and X
Hands-on content producer — not just a strategist; comfortable writing hooks, briefing shoots, and cutting a vertical video
Experience integrating talent, athletes, or celebrity ambassadors into brand social
Strong command of social analytics (native platform analytics, Sprout / Dash Hudson / Emplifi class tools, UTM hygiene)
Excellent creative judgment — can look at a draft post and tell you in 10 seconds whether it will work
Preferred:
Health, wellness, premium supplements, beauty, or athletic performance category exposure
Direct experience with TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, or YouTube commerce
Experience building or working within a creator-led brand
Exposure to AI video generation (Sora, Runway, Kling) and AI-assisted editing workflows
Experience running live shopping, creator livestreams, or event-driven social moments
Multi-market social leadership across US, UK, and APAC
