Position Overview
Own brand storytelling, editorial, and long-form content for IM8, the premium health and wellness brand co-founded with David Beckham. You'll set the brand voice, own content strategy across every surface we publish on, and build the editorial engine that turns our science, athletes, and community into content people actually want to consume. Reports into the CMO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Editorial Vision
Own the content strategy across every owned surface: YouTube, podcast, blog, newsletter, website copy, app, and campaign storytelling
Define and maintain the content pillars — science, performance, ambassador storytelling, product, community — and set the quarterly content roadmap against them
Set brand voice, tone, and editorial guidelines that sit above every content output
Decide what we make, what we don't make, and what we kill
Partner with Brand and CMO on campaign narratives and tentpole moments
2. Long-Form Content Production
Build and run the IM8 long-form engine — YouTube flagship channel, podcast, editorial features, athlete documentaries
Own the end-to-end editorial process: pitching, scripting, interviewing, directing, reviewing, publishing
Direct video and audio production with the Video Editor, Creative Strategist, and external production partners
Lead ambassador-led content formats featuring Beckham, Sabalenka, Bearman, and the wider roster
Commission and manage external writers, producers, editors, and creative agencies as needed
3. Science & Credibility Content
Translate IM8's clinical RCT, NSF Certified for Sport status, and scientific formulation story into content a consumer can actually follow
Work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer and clinical team to source evidence, interviews, and data
Build the content moat that differentiates IM8 from mass-market supplement brands
Own the editorial review process — accuracy, medical/regulatory compliance, claim substantiation
4. Content Distribution & Repurposing
Design the content atomization workflow — one long-form asset becomes 20+ short-form, written, email, and social outputs
Partner with Head of Social and Performance Marketing to push top-performing content into paid and lifecycle channels
Own SEO and content ROI on im8health.com — blog traffic, organic search, on-site conversion
Track content's contribution to brand search, branded demand, and organic acquisition
5. Team & Production Operations
Build and manage the content team: writers, producers, video editors, and external partners
Run editorial planning rituals — weekly standups, monthly content councils, quarterly pillar reviews
Own production budgets and vendor relationships
Set quality bars, review processes, and hand-off standards across the team
6. AI Integration & Operations
Embed AI across the editorial stack: research, outlining, first-draft writing, transcription, translation, caption generation, repurposing, SEO optimization
Evaluate and adopt new AI tooling continuously — video AI, audio AI, writing AI, agentic editorial workflows
Build scalable SOPs, style guides, and prompt libraries that let a small editorial team out-produce teams 3x their size
Set the standard for AI-native editorial operations while protecting the irreplaceably human parts — taste, judgment, interviews, relationships
Requirements
7+ years in content, editorial, or brand storytelling with at least 2+ years leading a content function
Published or produced body of work they can point to — long-form video, podcast, editorial features, or branded documentary
Exceptional writer and editor — can write a 2,000-word brand feature and a 200-character caption equally well
Experience directing video and audio production end-to-end
Strong editorial judgment — knows the difference between content that wins awards and content that drives business
Comfortable working with scientists, clinicians, or subject-matter experts to make dense material accessible
Strong command of content analytics — YouTube, podcast, SEO, on-site
Preferred:
Health, wellness, science, sports, or premium lifestyle brand background
Experience in a creator-led, ambassador-led, or talent-driven brand environment
Exposure to AI video, AI writing, and AI editorial workflows
Experience growing a branded YouTube channel or podcast to significant scale
Multi-market editorial leadership across US, UK, and APAC
You Must Be AI-Native
Active, fluent daily AI tool usage is mandatory, not optional. We expect you to be embedding AI into every workflow you touch on day one.
